Social Controversial Topics and Religion

Social Controversial Topics and ReligionDoes the topic of religious issues ever come up in social, controversial topics? If you are a Christian, do you think that the topic of religious issues is even in your mind's area? Do you feel as if you do not really know a lot about these controversial topics? If so, you have certainly come to the right place.Religion is something that has not been as popular as it once was. With the birth of the Internet and the advancement of science and technology, the need for religion to continue to exist is almost non-existent. The internet allows people to stay connected with their friends, families, and work without having to make an expensive church service. The ability to use the internet for anything other than religion has caused some Christians to ask if they should continue to practice their religion or perhaps drop it altogether. There are still those who believe that religion is important. Many of them see the world in religious terms and often feel that something more is needed in order to help with the rising crime rate in the country. There is a belief that organized religion has not been doing its job of keeping the streets safe and this has caused crime to rise. For some people, religion has become somewhat of a taboo subject, but in reality there are many areas of interest for a person of faith to take part in.You will be surprised to learn that several topics are now becoming very popular as social, controversial topics. These subjects include the increasing popularity of the 'internet cult' which has members who claim to be gods, from all over the world, that they claim to be able to communicate with through a computer. Some of these so-called gods may call themselves aliens or possibly aliens from outer space and these people are not afraid to discuss these topics with others, including their fellow believers. With the growing popularity of these topics comes the fear that some people feel that their god is not al l powerful enough to defeat a computer virus, or explain the various laws that govern the universe. Even atheists can become a little angry when the subject of god comes up and they feel that it is over-exaggerated to the point that someone claiming to be a god could actually give them advice on how to protect themselves from a computer virus. However, others see it as a chance to discuss atheism and the fears surrounding the concept of God and how he may interact with his creation. In most cases, however, the Christians who are angry about this topic feel that they are the only ones whose religion does not deserve to be honored by giving their churches' approval to the 'internet cult.' For those Christians who feel that their church should support such a group, they feel that it is simply a way to keep Christians feeling guilty about speaking out against religion in the public square. One of the biggest problems that these Christians have is the fact that it makes them feel like the y are not really part of the religion that they have always felt a spiritual connection to.Many of these same Christians are upset that the internet has opened the door for people to be able to criticize their religion any way they want. They feel that they are the only ones who have the right to speak out against their religion and that the rest of the world should respect them for their beliefs. The problem is that religion and its adherents do not always feel that they have the right to act like the mob that they were raised to believe that they are and therefore the Internet can be a big problem if you are looking for a topic that is never going to go away.Religion can often be a big target when it comes to controversial social topics. The recent controversy that hit several churches made it clear that there are some Christians who believe that they are the only ones who can speak out against religion. These people may be just as threatened by their criticism as those who critic ize religion for the sake of criticizing religion.
